Focus is thrilled to be selected to provide general contractor services for a new apartment building at 2340 North California. The 130,088 GSF, 6-story building will be the new home of 138 luxury apartments in Chicago’s Logan Square. The ground-floor will include a lobby, surface parking, and multiple retail spaces totaling approximately 9200 SF. A mix of studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units will take up the majority of space throughout the top five floors of the building. The building will also offer amenities such as a fitness space, yoga room, outdoor park and a rooftop terrace.

Focus' construction team was selected due to their extensive portfolio building mid-rise residential buildings and a reputation for extraordinary quality and value. Our team worked diligently during bidding and through extensive value engineering succesSFully reduced costs by 10%.

Plans for the building include a mix of different construction systems. The exterior will be comprised of glazed masonry and thermally broken aluminum storefront system at the retail level with high quality thermally efficient fiberglass windows and pre-finished metal panels above. The second floor podium constructed with a steel frame and concrete deck will support floors two through six. These remaining floors will be framed with structural light gauge metal with concrete decks poured over metal decking.

The entire project is expected to take 15 months, projecting completion in October of 2018.
