Terry “Vic” Howell joined Focus in 2017 as a Development Manager. His responsibilities include stewarding projects through the various stages of entitlement, permitting, and eventually collaborating with Focus project managers throughout the construction process. Vic also participates in the investment analysis on any potential new projects or acquisitions.
In 2011, Vic graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture with a concentration in business and was certified as a LEED Green Associate shortly after. After receiving his degree, Vic moved to Chicago where he began working for Wight & Company as a construction project engineer. After some time, Vic joined Antunovich Associates where he practiced as an associate for 6 years. In that time he received his architecture license in Illinois while working as design project manager on numerous retail and residential projects throughout Chicago and nationwide, including a $34 million adaptive reuse project of an existing warehouse into luxury condos. Vic has also been recognized by the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as a member of the winning design team for their 2016 Tiny Homes Design Competition which focuses on innovative solutions to Chicagoland homelessness through thoughtful community design.
In addition to his professional success, Vic acts as a mentor for Chicagoland youth through the Horizons for Youth program.
