Our client, Speedwagon purchased this 1910 printer’s loft building out of receivership and hired Focus to finish the conversion to luxury apartments. Due to the building standing vacant for many months prior to Speedwagon’s purchase, a significant amount of repairs were necessary before construction could commence on the interior finishes. The 45 apartments were completed in a tight 7 month construction period.
After successfully leasing the apartments, Speedwagon elected to sell the property. Focus, together with our partners Atlantic Realty Partners, purchased the building and the adjacent parking lot and began plans to construct an 11-story mid-rise which would connect to the existing loft building and become Circa922 – a 145 luxury apartment community.
