The Link Evanston
The Link Evanston project is a 280,000 sf mixed-use building composed of ground-floor retail and 242 new apartments, with a unit mix ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms. Average unit sizes will be between 390 and 1,150 square feet. Designed by bKL Architecture, the building will have a brick and metal panel façade. Most rooms will offer views of downtown Evanston or Lake Michigan. The building’s 3,300 sf of retail space will be occupied by the 7-Eleven that exists on site currently.
The project will offer an outdoor amenity space with a pool and multiple seating areas as well as a fully outfitted fitness center and yoga studio. Additionally, a fully equipped and generously sized social lounge will be available for residents’ use.
The new residential building will be walking distance from the Foster “L” station, Northwestern University’s campus, and Evanston’s downtown shopping and dining district. It is also easily accessible from two additional “L” stations, the Metra and CTA bus stops in the area. 170 residential and 4 retail parking spaces will be provided.
